CEO Challan Carmichael is certainly not taking a walk in the park on his new venture.
On 1st July 2014, Challan Carmichael and team of other dedicated fundraisers will be swapping the comfort of their homes for the mountains of Peru. Trekking 50 miles over 5 days at altitudes of over 4000m, we will be pitting our wits against all of the elements as we set off across the Andes in order to raise money for Childreach International.
This award-winning charity has been working with some of the world’s most marginalised children in the United Kingdom, India, Morocco, Nepal andTanzania. The aim is to unlock their potential to become advocates for their right to education, good health, and safety from the perils of trafficking.
In 2012, Childreach International:
– Ensured 68,000 children had access to education
– Improved the health and well-being of 55,400 children
– Reached out to 37,000 children via protection schemes
– Fed 4,179 children through school farming projects
– Rescued over 100 children from trafficking gangs
The trek promises to be a truly life changing experience, not just for the team, but for the families we hope will be stronger, safer, and healthier through our efforts.
So dig deep and help support Challan, and this phenomenal cause!
