Last weekend Challan Carmichael and KC da Rookee flew to Hamburg, Germany to record and put some final touches to several tracks on Challans debut album. The whole weekend was a great success full of music, creativity and talented people.
A gifted singer by the name of Alex Prince got involved with recording with Challan and the results will be available to hear on the album; so a big thank you to her.
Challan comments; “We worked on three songs which are produced by Lars Mellow; these tracks will appear on the final album and are currently pre-mixed at this stage. We are hoping to have the final mixing session for these in January, after the rest of the album is complete.
I also worked on a track with a new producer, Klimper Boy, we all really enjoyed this session even though it was the first time working together; we bonded well and the results of the track are very exciting. I came out of the studio feeling that this was an absolutely amazing track and I can’t wait to put it out. The great thing about this track in particular is that I used 10 children to help record the chorus alongside Alex and myself; this created a very bright and uplifting feel for the song which I’m extremely happy with.”
